Ciucas natural Fortress and Brasov Medieval Town

Route:Bucharest – Red Mountain plateau – Ciucas Peak 1954 m – Brasov Medieval Town-Bucharest

Allocated time : 3 days

Distance: 400 kilometers with car and 25km hiking

Availability: recommended March – November

Day 1.We will start early in the morning from your Bucuresti hotel (or airport). We will travel through Ploiesti, Cheia and other Romanian settlements and after 150 km on Romanian roads with beautiful landscapes and serpentines , we’ll reach Red Mountain Plateau. With backpacks completed we will take the trail to peak Gropsoarele and Zaganu ridge. We will  hike from 1280 meters to 1883 meters  through wild  forests and and having access (if the weather permitting) to unique landscapes over Transylvania. We’ll spend the night at Ciucas chalet.

 

 

Day 2: Today we will take only essentials with us, and we’ll hike and reach the Ciucas peak at 1954 meters altitude. The trail will lead us through spectacular giant  unique strange stone shapes generally named “Tigaile”. We will evolve between  1400 meters and  1954 meters. Amazing wild landscapes peaks and valleys. In the evening we’ll arrive at Ciucas chalet.

 

 

Day 3: Taking our complete backpacks we will leave the Chalet and we will hike to Red Mountain Chalet. From here we ‘ll drive through Bratocea Pass to Brasov Medieval Town  where we’ll visit the Black Church  and the center of old town. From here we will travel to Bucuresti on Prahova Valley, through essentials mountain resorts of Romania ( Predeal, Azuga, Busteni, Sinaia).

Because is a private tour it can be redesigned in accordance with your request.

Note that Mondays, Tuesdays and on public holidays some of the objectives can be closed, for this reason we must talk and schedule the trip to avoid that.
