Biking within Bucegi Mountain

Route: Bucharest – Prahova Valley – Dichiu Saddle– Mountain Biking 55 Km (Omu Peak 2507 m)– Pestera  Ialomicioarei Monastery and the Cave- Bucharest

Allocated time : 3 days

Distance: 300 kilometers with car and 55 km mountain biking

Availability: recommended June –October

Day 1.We will start early in the morning from your Bucuresti hotel (or airport). We’ll drive  on Prahova Valley and from here on Trans-Bucegi road, up until Dichiu Saddle (1580 meters). Next Babele Chalet (2160 meters) where we’ll spend the night. But before that we’ll drive our bikes to Hero Cross(2230 meters). This part will be a technical one, the trail will reach 2300 meters.

Day 2: Today we will run our bikes on a spectacular trail  road. The highest point Peak Omu (2507 meters). Amazing wild landscapes peaks and valleys.

Technical passages and some push-bike passages.

 

Next :Old Lady Refuge (2170 meters), and we’ll descent to Padina Plateau. Accommodation and dinner within Padina Chalet (1525 meters).

Day 3: After the breakfast  we will run our bikes 4 km until the Pestera  Ialomicioarei  Monastery and  Cave. Next stop at Bolboci dam.

Return to Dichiu Chalet (1596 meters). Finally you will taste a 10 km descent with bicycles, until  Sinaia resort (798 meters). After that we’ll drive to Bucuresti.

The prices are for one person and are negotiable.Because is a private tour it can be redesigned in accordance with your request.

Note that  Mondays, Tuesdays and on public holidays some of the objectives can be closed, for this reason we must talk and schedule the trip to avoid that.
