With bicycles between the clouds (Lotrului Mountains & Transalpina)

Route: Bucharest – OltValley – Obarsia Lotrului – Mountain Biking 45 x2 Km – Transalpina –Horezu – Bucharest

Distance: 600 kilometers with car and 90 km mountain biking

Availability: recommended June –October

Day 1.We will start early in the morning from your Bucuresti hotel (or airport). We’ll travel through Pitesti, Ramnicu Valcea, Olt Valley, where we will stop to show you several beautiful monasteries. After100 km we will reach Obarsia Lotrului (1324 meters altitude) where we’ll spend the night.

Day 2: Today we will run our bikes on Transalpina road (the major competitor of Transfagarasan) and trail roads.We’ll reach 1883 meters and we’ll ride until 527 meters. Amazing wild landscapes peaks and valleys. Accommodation and dinner within a guesthouse  in a Romanian village.

Day 3: After the breakfast  we will run our bikes 47 km to Obarsia Lotrului. Vidra lake will surprise you with its blue waves. We’ll continue to Obarsia. Accommodation will be at a local guesthouse.

 

Day 4 : We will start driving on Transalpina , one other spectacular road between the clouds (not yet  known outside Romania), which  competing with famous Transfagarasan.

We’ll taste a 20 km descent with bicycles . After that we’ll drive to Bucuresti and if time allows us we will stop at Hurezi Monastery.

Because is a private tour it can be redesigned in accordance with your request.

Note that  Mondays, Tuesdays and on public holidays some of the objectives can be closed, for this reason we must talk and schedule the trip to avoid that.
